Axbridge Trefoil Guild are celebrating Christmas.
On December 10th we will have our annual Christmas lunch at the Lamb at Weare with Secret Santa, then on December 12th there is Somerset Trefoil Guild’ County Carol Service  at Rowbarton Methodist Church, Taunton at 2:00pm. Taunton station is only a short walk away. There is also a car park nearby. The Church will be open from 12:30pm until 4:00pm and there will be tea and cake afterwards.
Newcomers to all events are welcome.

Festive Fun Night at Cheddar Methodists

On Friday 6th December from 6:00pm there will be Festive Fun with the church dressed up for Christmas. Come and take family photos around our manger scene, there will be children’s activities, mince pies, fruit punch, hot drinks and, at 7:00pm, Cheddar Valley Singers will be bringing a special treat with all your favourite festive songs.
Whether it’s Cheddar Festive Night or not – we shall still be open. Come and join us.

Swanky new kitchen at Loxton & Christon village hall

Loxton & Christon village hall are celebrating their brand new kitchen, courtesy of a #NationalLottery award from the National Lottery community fund. We have lots of new events planned – do join us for our Christmas party on 6th December with festive bar, snacks, Father Christmas and tombola and for our New Year’s eve bash with late bar, live music, bongs & bubbly at midnight. (Free entry with a dish for shared supper). All welcome.

Cheddar Country Market at Christmas

Cheddar Country Market takes place every Tuesday at the Village Hall, Cheddar BS27 3RB 10:00am and 11:30am. Refreshments available.
Our Christmas Market will take place on 17th December.  We will be serving mince pies and mulled punch. There will be a good selection of Christmas goodies, To avoid disappointment why not order in advance. You can do this by coming in to the Market on any Tuesday. We accept cash or card payment.

Mendip Folk Dance Club

We welcome new members to Mendip Folk Dance Club. Come along to St James’s Church Centre, Winscombe, BS25 1BA and learn some different styles of English Country Dancing, with a friendly and helpful group of people.
The club meets on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Mondays in the month (except August and Bank Holidays), from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. You do not need to bring a partner and your first evening is free.
